This is a landscape of dramatic beauty highlighted by the drop-away views of the Ngorongoro Crater viewed from the crater rim. Yet even here, the environment, wildlife and rural communities lie at the sharp end of flood and drought seasonal variances compounded by climate change.
Protecting wilderness areas and supporting the sustainable development of local communities go hand in hand. In collaboration with &Beyond and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority (NCAA), we are supporting rhino monitoring within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and building the capacity of this conservation body to sustain the annual growth of this endangered species.
Wild Impact has worked alongside &Beyond with partner communities in Tanzania since 2000. Education projects are supporting limited regional infrastructure. These community-led collaborative projects are expanding educational facilities to support quality education and future opportunities for pre-school, primary and secondary school learners, and underpinning critical water security.
