The donors supported the infrastructure development and the Government of Mozambique provided teachers and other important resources to enable the establishment of this school.
Wild Impact and &Beyond are working with the Benguerra community to progressively improve their school. Funding is needed for these new infrastructural development projects at the school. The National Education System Law of 2018 makes Education mandatory and free for 9 years, with primary schooling running from Grade 1-6 and Secondary Grade 7-12. Preschool Education is also recognised as important but not mandatory.
Our current priority focus is on a new double classroom block. This will further reduce overcrowding and improve learning conditions, as it will allow for smaller class sizes, personalised attention and improved concentration, leading to better academic performance. The school opened with only two classrooms and has grown with the support of donors who have provided additional infrastructure.
