Gottenburg Clinic is situated at Stand 40146, Hluvukani, Thulamahashe 1365, in Mpumalanga, South Africa. The clinic operates eight hours a day, five days a week, serving several villages, including Thlavekisa, Hlalakahle, Serville A, and Serville C, with an average monthly headcount of 1,600 patients. Over time, the clinic’s infrastructure deteriorated, leading to structural issues such as cracks and inadequate facilities. These conditions fell short of the Department of Health’s standards for primary healthcare facilities, which require safe, accessible, and adequately equipped environments to ensure quality patient care. Recognising the critical need for improved healthcare services in the community, Wild Impact began collaborating with Gottenburg Clinic in 2008.
