Khomanani Day Care, established in 2003, is located in Thlavekisa, a community in South Africa. The facility comprises a double classroom block, a fully equipped outdoor play area, and enviroloos. Currently, the crèche enrolls 85 children, cared for by eight staff members, including four teachers, a cook, and a cleaner. The existing infrastructure does not meet the Department of Social Development’s standards, which has resulted in the withdrawal of government funding. To address these deficiencies, Wild Impact has been raising funds to establish a borehole, construct a kitchen with dining area and perimeter fencing. These enhancements aim to provide a safe and conducive learning environment, enabling the crèche to regain government support and continue serving the community effectively.
