Currently, Mouwarak Primary School has 5 grades with an enrolment of 126 learners – 75 boys , 51 girls (Figure 1). These learners are taken care of by 6 teachers – 5 waged by the government and 1 by the community. Pre- primary I & II learners stay at school from 8.00 am to 12.00 pm while upper grades stay up to 3.00 pm after which they return home for lunch.
The current school infrastructures consist of 4 classrooms and 1 learners’ ablution facility. Grade III learners are taking their lessons under a tree shade due to inadequate classrooms. Mouwarak Primary School therefore needs support with construction of additional classrooms, administration block and staff ablutions.
To address their needs in order of priority, the community leadership of Posta have requested Wild Impact and &Beyond to support them with construction of a double classroom.
