Sero Clinic is located in the isolated village of Sero close to Serengeti National Parks north eastern border in Tanzania. The clinic was established to provide essential healthcare services to the local population, who previously had to travel considerable distances to access medical care. The clinic operates with limited facilities and staff, providing 24/7 care to the community, but often faces challenges due to its isolation, particularly during the rainy season, when access to larger towns is blocked. Wild Impact has helped improve staff accommodation at the clinic, enabling better support for emergency care, but the lack of a maternity ward and specialized staff continues to result in preventable deaths among mothers and babies.
