Wild Impact has been active in 24 communities in Tanzania since 2000. Supporting communities neighbouring andBeyond lodges near the Serengeti National Park and Lake Manayara National Park, communities within the Ngorongoro Conservation area. Tanzania is part of the Great Lakes region with partial access to Lake Victoria, Lake Tanganyika and Lake Malawi. The country is bordered by Uganda, Kenya, Mozambique, Malawi, Zambia, Rwanda, Burundi, the DRC and the Indian Ocean.
Our partnership leverages the strengths of the two organisations, with the local &Beyond team directly supporting the work of our local project team and our community partners. We believe that conservation is best achieved by ensuring that the benefits of conservation are shared by the communities that are the stewards of Africa’s conservation landscapes and seascapes. Our work has a focus on future foundations, future leaders and thriving communities.
